Background & Objectives: Low level of physical activity leads to epidemic of obesity and its related diseases. Herein, we aimed to evaluate the level of physical activity and fitness, obesity, and postural status among students of Guilan University.
Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 400 male and female students of Guilan University during 2013-2016. The subjects were selected randomly through quota sampling method from seven faculties. Beck physical activity questionnaire was used to assess the level of physical activity. Factors associated with fitness (strength, aerobic capacity, and flexibility), body composition, and posture were also measured. The evaluations were performed at the prayer hall of the faculties during one week. To analyze the data, t-test and Spearman's rank correlation coefficient were performed using SPSS 18.
Results: Mean age:, height, and weight of the students were 21.41±2.22 years, 1.68±0.06 cm, and 65.71±11.74 kg, respectively. Furthermore, 62.5% of the participants had low levels of physical activity. No association was found between kyphosis and body mass index (BMI; P<0.05). However, a significant link was noted between BMI and risk of lordosis in both female and male students (P<0.05). 
Conclusion: The results showed that lower levels of physical activity had a negative impact  on fitness level and posture.
